Maria beat Agniezka Radwanzka of Poland 6-2 7-6 in a semifinals match in Toronto.The match started late because the prior match was very long.
Maria dominated the first set with powerful groundstrokes on both sides. Not only Maria was hitting the ball hard, but also she was also hitting it close to the lines and not missing much.
In the second set however, Maria started to commit more errors and let Radwanzka get back in the match. Radwanzka was leading 3-1 but Maria kept fighting and broke back.
